“PrimaLuna has, again, bridged the gap between mid-level and high-end with a superb, and – despite my two reservations – versatile phono stage which will be adored by those who prefer all-valve components. Not hybrid, not solid-state, but all-tube and with so much warmth and air that its sound can only be described as ‘cosseting’. Fans of the brand – and I still use a Mk I ProLogue Two – are gonna love this.”

Mr Ken Kessler & Mr Paul Miller of Hi-Fi News Magazine in the UK reviewed our PrimaLuna EVO 100 Tube Phono Preamplifier.

We are very delighted that they awarded our EVO 100 Tube Phono Preamp with an 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱!

Thank you Mr Ken Kessler & Mr Paul Miller of Hi-Fi News for reviewing and awarding our EVO 100 Tube Phonostage. Highly appreciated!

Also we want to thank our distributor in the UK, Absolute Sounds, for making the review possible.

    Hello,
Mr Ken Kessler in his latest review echoed the same criticism I sent in the comments of 26.1.23.

I’m sure that Mr Herman Van den Dungen will be doing something about it ,rather than pierce needles in voodoo dolls(as Mr Kessler jokingly wrote).
This will certainly make those who, like myself , use more than one TT or arms, very happy if they need to upgrade the phono amp!
    Thanks and kind regards.

If you design a product then you have to make decisions, except perhaps if you are designing a product specifically for the higher price range. What you described as “missing” in your earlier response is more of a description of another model. In the PrimaLuna range we have always concentrated on integrated amplifiers, pre- and power amplifiers. With occasionally a cherry on the cake in the form of a source device in a small enclosure for those people who like to have everything from PrimaLuna. One exception, the ProLogue Premium CD PLayer. Perhaps there will be a 2nd Phono someday, or the current Phono will be replaced with a version closer to your needs with more features (and at a different price). Thanks for your comment, it keeps me alert.
