KISEKI Kansha Phono Cartridge – Handcrafted Analog Perfection for True Audiophiles

There are moments when analog playback becomes more than mere reproduction—when music isn’t simply played back, but comes to life anew from the grooves and through the needle. For those who truly listen, that’s where the magic begins.

At Durob, we have been fully immersed in that essence over the past few months. Led by Herman van den Dungen and Jan de Groot—we call it a “JanMan” project—they are shaping a new generation: the KISEKI Generation 3 (Gen3) MC phono cartridges. No mass production and no compromises, but a quest for pure analog perfection.

New are the current absolute top models, named Kansha. Japanese for “gratitude.” Only a very limited number of Kansha cartridges can be made. These are the B.O.B. (Best Of Batch) models, for which we carefully select a beautiful stone housing. No two are alike. Each cartridge bears its own unique signature.

What follows is a process that is rarely seen in today’s audio world: true craftsmanship. Built entirely by hand, with an almost meditative precision. Every coil, every cantilever, every alignment is executed and refined to microscopic tolerances. This is followed by an extensive series of measurements and critical listening sessions—not only to confirm performance, but to ensure that it moves you.

Ultimately, it’s not just about specifications. It’s about texture. About air. About the tangible presence of a recording. About the silence between the notes. The KISEKI Kansha is an instrument—a bridge between vinyl and emotion. For the analog listener who isn’t seeking more sound, but more truth.

A rare creation. Born of stone, hand-crafted, and intended for those who truly listen.
