PrimaLuna DiaLogue Premium HP Integrated Amplifier In the latest issue ( No 77 ) of ToneAudio magazine Jeff Dorgay has tested our PrimaLuna DiaLogue Premium HP Integrated Amplifier for months at his home. After the review Kevin Deal from Upscale Audio & PrimaLuna USA received the following request from Jeff.

Hi Kevin: You know my respect for PrimaLuna goes way back. Back to the first ProLogue Integrated, and in the course of TONE Audio’s 12 year history, we’ve reviewed nearly every model – all great, but you guys have really outdone yourselves with the HP integrated. I’d really like to purchase the review sample to be used as a permanent reference component here. It’s fantastic! This is one of the loveliest integrated amplifiers I’ve had the pleasure to use. Sounds great, looks great, drives any speaker I can throw at it. And knowing that the original ProLogue One I bought from you before I even started TONE is still running daily without any issues, I know this baby will outlive me!

Help! My remote-control is out of control…

Remote PrimaLuna And, of course,  always at the wrong moment:-).

If your remote control doesn’t function anymore, it is probably a matter of changing the batteries with good quality, the same type of batteries. Sometimes that doesn’t work, and you need to investigate a little more, so:

  1. Check the batteries in use; if you notice any proof of leakage (wet or dry), forget these batteries.
  2. Check the battery contacts in the remote and clean them if you feel/see that this is necessary. Also, using contact-cleaner, contact-enhancer is a good idea.
  3. If new, good-quality batteries make the remote function again, you are done!
  4. If the remote with cleaned contacts ánd fresh full batteries still does not function, it might be that the remote is really broken. How to test? Just do like you want to take a picture of the eye of your remote, and on the screen of your digital camera, you will see the LED light up (if the remote functions) once you press a button on the remote. If the remote is broken, you won’t see the LED in the picture.
  5. If you do see the LED light up in the picture, but your equipment does not react, then it might be that the carrier of the signal is active, but the necessary signal isn’t. And worse, if the receiver is broken, the only thing you can do is bring the equipment to your specialist dealer.
  6. And … last but not least … never use chargeable batteries in your remotes.

Review Dan D’ Agostino Master Power Classic Stereo by Bob Grossman

Stereophile PrimaLunaEarlier this week I was downloading the last issue of Stereophile and while I did I noticed in my library the first digital issue I ever bought from Stereophile. I remember I was in a hurry. The paper issue from Stereophile was on the way to me, but I was more than curious and excited! It was the February 2005 issue of Stereophile with both the PrimaLuna ProLogue Two and the Krell KAV300i on the cover. PrimaLuna, the brand we started, design, produce and distribute. How proud we were (and still are). Together with the Krell which we represented in the BeNeLux. One of the most successful Krell models ever. We were the first distributor to order in quantities of 100 pieces. How proud we were (and still are).

Now we speak 2015. The time that -how sadly- bankers, banksters, accountants, lawyers often rule today’s audio companies. And then I see again that Dan D’Agostino’s products meet our Herman van den Dungen’s PrimaLuna products. How proud we are as a team (and how proud he is – we know).
