The most expensive amplifier in the selection, the PrimaLuna EVO 300 Hybrid, is predictably the smartest designed.
Three 12AU7 tubes, manufactured by China’s Psvane and carefully selected by PrimaLuna’s experts, operate in each preamp channel.
The model’s power supply is based on a powerful toroidal transformer encased in a sturdy case for reliable shielding.
The preamp section is also powered by two smaller transformers housed in separate enclosures.
The output stage is built around powerful TrueSemi MOSFETs, allowing the Primaluna EVO 300 Hybrid to deliver up to 100 watts to 8-ohm loads and up to 150 watts to 4-ohm loads.
Custom-built high-quality tin-foil capacitors, custom wiring with oxygen-free copper conductors in fluorocarbon sleeves, and the ALPS Blue Velvet volume control favored by audiophiles.
If you want, you can install an optional MM phono stage board. The weight of the amplifier is 25 kilograms.
