But if you don’t mind a touch of admitted tube warmth (or rather, that slightly tube character, wherever the manufacturer has tweaked it), then the EVO 100 Tube DAC exceeds the usual standards of its class in terms of quality and depth of listening experience, and can boldly compete with more expensive and seemingly more tech-laden devices. You may not be able to set an infinite number of parameters on it, and it may even be a pity that it doesn’t have symmetrical outputs or a richer range of inputs, but ultimately it’s the truly beautiful musicality, richness and juiciness of the reproduction that speaks for it, making the EVO 100 Tube DAC a not entirely purist but supremely entertaining solution.”
