Owner review PrimaLuna EVO 300 Tube Preamplifier. “Highly recommended.”

Posted on 31/08/2021 by beheerder

“Mated the EVO 300 tube pre amp with two bi wired solid state amps. Left amp and right amp each powering one martin Logans sl-3 separately. The new EVO 300 pre amp smoothed out the sharp edgey sound of all solid state yet remained very detailed..Makes a very nice combination of tube sound while keeping Solid state amp advantages. Highly recommended”

“It is in combination that the PrimaLuna EVO 300 duo shine.” Alan Sircom – hi-fi+ magazine

Posted on 25/08/2021 by beheerder

“It is in combination that the PrimaLuna EVO 300 duo shine. This isn’t magic synergy or tweaking the response of one to suit the other…This might make me sound like a character in a Jane Austen Novel, but I am excessively diverted by the PrimaLuna EVO 300.”

“It is definitely the right choice.”

Posted on 24/08/2021 by beheerder

“My third PrimaLuna, so I’m not really suprised by what I’m hearing. I have tried several other tube amps before deciding to go with the EVO 300. It is definitely the right choice. Even with stock tubes it sounds really good. Rolling in some GE 6189 to replace the stock 12AU7 opens the midrange very nicely. PrimaLuna continues to satisfy and much as I loved my DiaLogue Premium Integrated, the EVO 300 is just better.”

“It got a big thumbs up from all in the office. A great sounding amplifier, one that will keep you listening – well worth an audition.” Noel Keywood – HI-Fi World Magazine

Posted on 18/08/2021 by beheerder

“PrimaLuna EVO 300 is a finely developed valve amplifier that comes with EL34 power output valves as standard. Delivering 40W in ultra-linear mode, it has strong bass and powerful sound, plus superb lucidity valves are known for. It got a big thumps up from all in the office. A great sounding amplifier, one that will keep you listening – well worth an audition. Verdict: 5/5 OUSTANDING – among the best.”
