Believe me when I say the value is outstanding. I would have paid far more to enjoy the music these beautiful-crafted units are rendering. Now, it is hard to visit a dealer’s demonstration room (with equipment that costs many times more) and not come away smiling like a thief…

Hi Doug! I cannot disagree at all with your choice. In my China-located stereo system I am using this same setup with Vienna Beethoven Grand loudspeakers and with a PL8 as a source. When I am overthere I always enjoy that system that fits so well with the room. I am very sensitive to too much bass / midbass and the Beethoven’s are very tight in the bass in the situation there. Maybe in “real life” bass is not so tight, more “loose”, but in living room conditions that irritates (me) very fast, so I am completely happy with that set up, having the smoothness of tubes in the mids and the airy highs. Maybe with tubes I should not have that tight bass, but I have it and will never complain about it. With the standard silver PrimaLuna tubes by the way. Full system wired with our own Swiss AH! cables which I smuggled into China :-).
