As a conclusion I want to look at this product in a different way. How many nationalities have been involved in this product? Simply because I sometimes have the feeling people put limitations on themselves, on others and on products, which do not exist.
First of all the main part of the design is done in Holland. Next to that important transformer design is done in USA. We are using Swiss programmed software for (remote) controlling all functions.
Swiss made Oxygen Free Continuous Crystal Copper, silver plated, Teflon dielectric point to point wiring is a main factor in the sound quality of this product. For the first time we are using the famous Japanese Takman audiophile grade resistors, while we use the French made SRC-Solen tinfoil capacitors for the first time in an integrated amplifier. SRC-Solen tinfoil capacitors were already used before in our Award winning DiaLogue Three preamplifier. The Japanese ALPS potentiometer, which we use since day one in all our PrimaLuna products, needs no further explanation. Russian tubes, Chinese (heavily tested and selected) tubes, electronic parts sourced from all over. Dutch Philips diodes, Japanese Nichicon capacitors. Sometimes even China made components, only available outside China!
In fact a full world is involved in creating a product which is always with “Excellence is a habit, NOT a single act” in our mind. Check out other most famous high-end products from all over the world. Europe, USA and you will often find the same fine quality parts used in these world’s most famous brands. More and more of them are made on the same continent as ours, but without mentioning it.
Need to write “(heavily tested and selected)” about chinese tubes but not about russian, why?
:-). Maybe bit of bad English writing. We mainly use Chinese tubes because it is a kind of logic as the amps are built in China. But for the DiaLogue Premium we introduce also KT120 and those are only available from Russia. Of course we test these too.
